Position Summary:

This position is a full-time role, based at Civica Head Quarters, Singapore Office. Main responsibility of this position is to monitor and ensure that all the technical operations both internally within the organixation and externally for our customer base are operating efficiently and smoothly.

Selection Criteria

  • Have at least 3 years experience in the Microsoft Windows 200x family of operating systems, incluyding the Server versions

  • Have at least 2 years experience in administration of MS SQL servers

  • Be very experienced with implementing, configuring, and administering Windows system level applications, services and components needed to communicate system resources with software applications and databases

  • Have experience in diagnosing PC software failures and software incompatibilities

  • Have the expertise to install software on PC desktops and laptops when needed

  • Have experience with network and web technologies - Firewalls, Proxies, VPN, HTTP/S

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner

  • Have strong customer service skills

  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal communications, negotiation, time management, people management and resource management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, team building and manage people in a demanding and changing environment

  • Have strong English verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be organized and detail oriented and have the ability to prioritise work

  • Must have a team player attitude

  • Be willing to travel and attend training as necessary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and provision of system administration, management, and operation tasks

  • Administer Windows 200X Server operating systems

  • Serve as database administrator and support MS SQL database, and servers in accordanace with guidelines/standards

  • Lead and supervise the Support Team to achieve agreed service levels and productive work environment

  • Evaluate and apply patched/upgrades to applications and the operating system; schedule and applythe patches/upgrades in accordance with operating needs

  • Assist to determine configuration guidelines for computer systems and operating systems and to monitor for compliance

  • Maintain existing server software administration documentation; create additional administration documentation for the server and associated software

  • Test and configure applications on MS windows 200x

  • Assist in developing and testing scripts to monitor and control system resources and to automate adminsitrative functions

  • Configure and monitor system logs, diagnose hardware and software problem, and perform repairs within a Microsoft Windows TCP/IP network environment

  • Install and maintain fixes and service pack releases for all responsible systems and applications

  • Provide management with operational reports for both internal and external stakeholders

  • Participate in computer support meetings, email, and telephone support to handle incoming trouble calls and to correct any problems thaat occur

  • Provide active participation to schedule, coordinate, and perform installations of hardware, software and operating systems (OS) upgrades, changes, configurations, or as means of clearing an operating environment problem
