BPI Engineer

Main Objectives:

Working with business unit in understanding the business processes and the issues surrounding it, developing newer improved process and implementing them. The role facilitates improvement projects that are cross-functional and inter-departmental

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Team Leader Business Process Improvement, you will assist in the following areas:

• Act as internal consultant for BPI to the business operations.


• Develop strong working relationship with cross functional management and team members.


• Identify, document, and baseline core business processes (business and technical), establish metrics, control plans, and reporting mechanisms with end-to-end focus.


• Work closely with business units to assess weaknesses in the current state and help develop future state process through application BPI tools and methodologies.


• Help identify, prioritize, plan, and implement process improvement opportunities consistent with current business strategies.


• Apply best practices for introducing, driving, and sustaining change initiatives


• Lead/Facilitate multiple BPI projects simultaneously and provide consultancy to business unit teams.


• Regularly provide project status updates to BPI Leadership, project sponsors, and stakeholders.


• Contribute to the ongoing development and enforcement of the various PI tools and techniques.


• Involve in our new product development


• Actively participate and involve in appropriate development of HSE matters in areas of hazard / incident identifications, risk assessments and determination of controls


• Ensure work activities and behaviour achieved conformity to the HSE policy, objectives and procedures outlined in the HSE management system and compliance to applicable local legal requirements


• Other responsibilities as needed.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Skills :

• Possess some or all of these qualities: strong leadership, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident, dynamic, creative, persistent, well-spoken, flexible, etc


• Proficient in MS Office & project


• Ability to communicate and work at all levels of the organization


• Knowledgeable in at least one change methodology (Six Sigma, TQM, etc) and Engineering tools e.g. AutoCad


• Ability to cope in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications :

• A good degree in Mechanical Engineering


• CNC Machinist Experience

Experience :

• 1 – 2 years relevant experience
