CNC Machinist

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications.


• Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation


• Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices.


• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.


• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.


• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Key Requirements:

• NITEC/ O or N Levels


• At least 1-2 years working experience in a fast-pace oil and gas manufacturing environment.


• Able to communicate in (read, write, speak, listen and  understand) simple English


• Shop-Floor environment Has to be physically fit (with good eye sight)


• Good interpersonal skills


• Able to work rotating shift and overtime on weekdays, weekends and sometimes public holidays.

Perform Setup

Operate CNC Milling Machine

Ensure work carried out meet required specifications and quality as defined on engineering drawing.

Requirements:

Able to work rotating shift (Morning & Night Shift)

Qualification:

NITEC in Mechanical / Manufacturing engineering or equivalent.

Exp :

2 yrs exp in operating CNC Milling Machine.
