Job Description:

Project implementation for Singapore Mindef project.  They include but are not limited to the following:


  • Work closely with project manager to ensure critical project milestones are completed on schedule and meeting customer requirements

  • Plan and Conduct network (hub and remotes) acceptance testing and commissioning with Customer

  • Provides customer support on-site, including field support for local and overseas exercises

  • Resolves customer issues related to Broadband IP communication via satellite transmission

  • Isolates and corrects network faults using network management tools.

  • Assists in design of satellite communications systems and maintaining documentation related to project or customer network

  • Provides support of  new software releases to customers.

  • Supports complex systems installation and startup at customer sites.

  • Create as-build document for network installed on customer sites

  • Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves product related issues resulting from installation, upgrades, configurations, integrations, or testing.

  • Generates Return Materials Authorizations (RMA) for failed equipment and assists RMA coordinator with technical verification and

  • validation of RMA requests submitted to Technical Assistance Centre.

  • Conducts product operational and maintenance training to Customer

  • Support warranty and post warranty phase of the project

Qualifications Education and/or Experience
Bachelor\'s degree (B.S.) from an accredited University in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or closely related field And a minimum of 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical Skills - Individual should have experience in/working knowledge of
• TCP/IP internetworking, general routing, layer-2 protocols, multicast and LAN architecture
• Ability to independently troubleshooting and debugging broad, complex, and unique networks solution involving mixed medias and
• protocols
• Ability to capture and interpret IP packet traces
• Solaris and Linux
• Microsoft Windows (XP, 2000, NT, 98, etc)
• Microsoft Office suite
• Remedy ticketing system
